Our Mission

Mi Escuelita Preschool provides a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where young children develop the foundational skills needed to become confident learners and engaged members of their community. Through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships, we support the whole child while partnering with families to build a strong foundation for future success.

Our Approach to Learning

We believe children learn best through play, exploration, and guided discovery. Our program supports the intellectual, social, emotional, and creative development of each child.

Children engage in:

  • Early literacy and foundational math
  • Art, music, and creative expression
  • Outdoor learning and exploration
  • Dramatic play and social interaction

Frog Street Curriculum

Our preschool and TK/Kindergarten programs use the Frog Street curriculum to support a seamless learning experience for young children. Through hands-on, play-based activities, students build early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. This consistent approach helps children grow in confidence and be well prepared for the transition into elementary school.

Partnering with Families

We recognize families as a child’s first and most important teachers and value strong home-school partnerships. We welcome all family structures and maintain an open-door approach.

Our Educators

Our educators are caring, experienced professionals who build positive relationships and create a safe, supportive environment for every child.

Our Program

Mi Escuelita is a state-funded preschool within ASJUSD and part of the California State Preschool Program (CSPP). It is licensed by the State Department of Social Services and follows Title 22 and Title 5 regulations.
