Volunteer in Preschool

Volunteers must complete a Live Scan fingerprint clearance. Instructions and required forms are available in our Volunteer Process Packet.  Visit our Fingerprinting webpage for complete details.  Be sure to allow at least 7 days for your fingerprint clearance to be confirmed.

All volunteers must also register through the Raptor Volunteer & Visitor Management System.

Provide proof of:

• A negative TB test, or
• A recent chest X-ray, or
• A completed TB risk assessment (if eligible).

Must be completed within 6 months of starting. The clearance is valid for four years.

Submit your TB test results or Risk Assessment Form to mparra@asjusd.org.

To volunteer in our preschool classrooms, you are required to show proof of the following in addition to a TB Clearance:

• MMR Vaccine
• Pertussis Vaccine
• Flu Vaccine (current year)

Beginning January 1, 2026, all volunteers must complete our Mandated Reporter Training by state law before beginning service. We will send you a link once your background check has been completed. 

Additional training may be required depending on the volunteer assignment. 

All volunteers must check in and out through the Raptor Visitor Management System when arriving and leaving campus. Please bring a valid ID when signing in.
Your Raptor badge helps staff and students recognize you as an approved volunteer and helps us maintain a safe school environment.
